Where have I been?
I don't plan on commenting much on my personal life, I created this Blog to talk about my musical endeavors.
However, 1 day into this project it was nice to know some folks have missed me as much as I've missed them - or are curious to know what I've been up to. I didn't post the comments you sent yesterday, because you all pretty much said the same thing: Where have I been?Well, like I said 2009 was a bummer in terms of music & opportunities. Like every other business, the music business took a hit, mine was no exception. Gigs I was hoping for vanished, audiences were smaller & calculated risks got riskier. Disposable income for tickets to see shows & 2 drinks minimums became a luxury, rather than a daily occurrence. Adjustments has to be made, and while many of them were hard, they weren't all bad. I have a new day job that will allow me to do some of theses projects that had to be put off & a new home that I share with a wonderful man & a terrific cat. That's where I've been. Adjusting. Nesting. Working. Planning. Learning.
But this Blog is all about where I'm going... there's music to be made.
PS - Her name is Mayhem. We call her May unless she's in trouble (so, about half the time).
