Listening to Christmas Music!
As promised, this blog is going to be all about our new recording projects. Mr. Rebic is out of town this week, so I'm on my own looking for Christmas Music... we figure on recording about 15 tunes & have picked out maybe 9 - 10.... so we have 5 left to go. Everybody in NYC is gearing up for football tonight, but I'll be spending the evening with my new best friend: The Pandora Christmas Station.
Sooooo... this is the first question I'm going to throw out there to see if anybody is reading... What's your favorite Christmas Album or Recording? What gets you in the spirit to bake cookies, get a tree, max out your Visa or other holiday traditions? In turn - any recordings out there that make you run from the room screaming, or eat least roll your eyes?
XoXo

So much great stuff & so much crap on Christmas Albums. My advice? Don't get too origional. They're called traditions for a reason. Pleeze tell me you're gonna do Santa Baby?

Barbra's first is the best. Nancy Wilson's is pretty bad.

"o holy night" always makes my heart melt. usually during the month of december i leave the radio on to 106.7 cuz' they only play holiday music. (much to andrew's dismay) although he loves the little drummer boy song ; ) "i'll be home for christmas" is beautiful, and "rockin' around the christmas tree" is always perfect for wrapping presents.
"feliz navidad" makes my eyes roll - not because i hate it, but because some turn it into a "guantanamera" kind of song... you would obviously rock "have yourself a merry little christmas", "merry christmas darling" & "silver bells". "winter wonderland", "santa baby" & "do you hear what i hear" are great too. is "baby its cold outside" considered christmas? i guess so. whatever you end up choosing ~ the album will be flawless. you're amazing! xo
